In Loving Memory

Every herd member who has served with us is still with us in spirit.  They have not left except only in their physical form.  You can still access their wisdom and guidance should you choose, just by saying their name and setting your intent and inviting their spirit in.  Watch, wait, listen and feel and you might be surprised at the subtle yet profound messages you receive.  Stay open and ready to receive and above all, TRUST.

It is with the utmost love and respect that we honor those who have transitioned and are still serving with us:

Hover over one of the animal's pictures to see their name.

Maggie, 23. I am the grandmother spirit of the herd. I hold the deep understanding of logic, respect and calmness. Once you spend time with me you can't help but begin to embody these traits and pay them forward to our world. I am rescued as a retired therapy horse that many aren’t willing to rescue due to my age.
Trevor, 16. I am the wise leader of the goat herd, I have learned with age that I do not have to lead with fear but with love, confidence and compassion. I love to share my gifts with everyone I meet and many can't help but love me too. I also give great back rubs with my strong horns and show what a gift it is to be able to keep my horns and my gratitude for that. I was rescued many years ago by my first owner and rescued again to keep the herd together when my then owner couldn’t keep me.
Wednesday & York: we found a forever home at 16 Hands of Love.
The Girls: We brought a sense of playfulness to the herd and barn atmosphere. You allowed us to explore with you and brought out your brave and playful side.
Bailey: When I first joined the herd I was shy and hesitant as I wasn't sure about life and the goings on of things but I become braver and stronger each day and then I helped others to trust that gentle and quiet confidence as we all bloom and flower in our own unique timing.
Brimley: I was a quiet but curious soul. When you looked in my eyes you'd see my depth and truth and somehow know that all is well in the world.
Lucy: I was a unique addition to the herd in that I keep everyone on their toes. I taught many lessons on protection.
Bart: As a former show goat, I was rescued because my prior owner knew that I had more to offer the world and would be wonderful working with children, and that I was.
Freedom, she's still alive but with another rescue now that her spirit chose to stay with but can still provide healing and guidance as called upon.
Buddy: I was one of the more shy members of 16 Hands of Love. Much is not known about my background other than my prior owner couldn’t keep me and I also didn’t have much space there and needed a new home with more for my care. I don’t trust humans easily and don’t like being pet…at all. My sweet and gentle nature will bring calm and presence to those who attend and maybe if you sit long enough with me, I will begin to trust more or you might learn that connection can occur through an energetic exchange and that touching / petting isn’t always needed to connect with us.
