Organic Learning Connections
(An extension of 16 Hands of Love)
16 Hands of Love has offered Outdoor Organic Learning to the community and all walks of life since our beginning in 2014, so it was only natural to begin a regularly occurring organic learning opportunity for those we serve, which is how OLC came about in 2021.
OLC is offered to children (and their families) in the community who are seeking an alternative form of education than what public schools offer. We are a non-accredited, educational opportunity by design as we feel learning occurs naturally and organically when a child’s (or even adult’s) purpose and passion are put first and foremost in developing, and from there all other learning occurs naturally if nurtured and supported.
This learning opportunity is a homeschool collaborative in that we compliment and flow with homeschooling models while providing a consistent community for children to learn and grow with.
Here is what OLC offers at this time…
OLC was founded by 4 guides who are passionate about heart-centered learning and who all held a similar vision for a new beginning for children’s education that is centered around the fostering of an individual’s naturally given gifts and talents while learning through learner lead methods and hands on exploring & learning through nature and the herd all while bettering & collaborating with our community.
Our four founders are: Angela Hoover, Bonnie Pena, Paige Russell and Wendy Hoggatt. All of who have either successfully homeschooled their child, are currently homeschooling, were public school teachers or prior Montessori school teachers with diverse backgrounds in multiple homeschooling methods (Charlotte Mason, Montessori, Waldorf, Eclectic and Unschooling to list a few).
If you are interested in OLC and have additional questions or would like to enroll your child, please email us at [email protected]
